Hello, and welcome back to Stars to Stories, I’m glad you’ve made it here.
Everything has lifted into the air, and our hearts and lungs are feeling it. This rapid rise brings with it altitude sickness, so make sure to keep your sherpas close at hand and follow only the most trustworthy advice. No one can scale Everest in a single day, nor should we all even try. But with ascension comes the need for slow oxygen, and we’re all required to pace ourselves in the coming months and years.
The dates between May 11th–15th are bound to be some of the most dramatic this month as Saturn, Venus, and Jupiter all go retrograde in a short period of time. Venus, in particular, will disappear from the night sky around the new moon on the 22nd and will go through her purification process only to reemerge as morning star by mid-June. However, she doesn’t complete her retrograde cycle until the end of July when Mars has already started his. This summer as a whole will be filled with two steps forward, three steps back. Or is it three steps to the side, and a hop up? Or simply writhing arms while standing in place with a pulsating head bob? What a complicated magic dance!
May you continue to feel safe, healthy, and guided by what’s beyond. Don’t cross picket lines and stay well.

Aries
The Venus retrograde this month and next will bring up issues around confidence, siblings, and whether or not you’ll be able to make short-distance trips as summer approaches. If you were planning on traveling during May and June before the stay-at-home orders occurred, you might need to enlist the help of a brother or sister, or conversely, may find yourself having to drive solo instead. If a move was planned for early summer, use this time to manage details & reconfigure plans in the safest way possible.
Taurus
The Venus retrograde this month will bring in activity around income and finances, whether or not you’re focused on what you have or don’t have. Try to encourage new ways to rethink resources and merge and consolidate what you feel comfortable owning. You may have a burst or break down of confidence in June that causes you to rethink higher education or a move to a far-away locale.
Gemini
The next couple of months have you innovating yourself and your identity, and by June, that may be heavily influenced by how you are making money. If you’ve been considering a career move or self-employment, the following weeks give you an opportune time to explore your options. With all the change going on right now, give yourself permission to keep on tweaking your working plans. There is bound to be more twists and turns down the road.
Cancer
In May, you will be reinvestigating what it means to be alone, how you relate to others, and just what it is you’ve learned from solitude. Have you been stuck with others without any room to breathe and just now getting some peace and quiet? Or alone for too long and looking forward to more company? The reflection will help you better understand yourself come June.
Leo
The Venus retrograde this month will have you revisiting your social circles and who it is you want to be associated with. Maybe quarantine has reconfigured some of your previously held relationships. Or a new buddy emerged during the heightened times only to reveal a connection that wasn’t clear before. Let yourself move through acquaintances differently these days—and in a kinder, more generous, community-focused way.
Virgo
This month will bring significant reflections on how you want to be seen publically and any career-aspects that have changed over the last couple of months. Of all the signs, you seem to have a bit more luck on your side and hopefully can catch some of the rewards that come with that, especially when it comes to creative acquaintances. Things will shift in major ways in late spring, so keep a beginner’s mind as much as you can.
Libra
May has you revisiting ideas of publishing, spirituality, and teaching, and possibly revving up your workload. Through June, it will be especially wise to mind health and wellness routines to keep you safe and stable even if your schedule starts to get busy. Make sure to tend to your body as well as your spirit and mind. Other people don’t have to come before you.
Scorpio
May and June may have you diving into secrets underneath the surface and revealing your hidden or not so hidden trepidations. If you’re engaging in sneaky stuff, it would be wise to remember that often the details have a life of their own—so make sure to do no harm and reveal what needs to be exposed before it emerges of its own volition. That being said, darkness can be a fertile place in which to grow. Just make sure you know what you’re planting in this last burst of spring.
Sagittarius
May and June will have you rethinking your relationships and the way you’ve been relating to others. Has quarantine made you lonely? Or drive you crazy being stuck with a significant other? As you think through the big changes that need to be made, know that not much will be solved by a quick fix, and you might be required to work slowly throughout the summer to make the most beneficial shifts.
Capricorn
For May and June, you will be most focused on your daily routines, and how that relates to both health and work. If your timetables have undergone some massive changes in the last couple of months, you may be investigating what shifts you’d like to hold onto and what it is you’re craving that reminds you of regularity. Extra time spent nourishing your body would be well-timed in this last burst of spring before the solstice.
Aquarius
The next two months will give you a major rewind when it comes to pleasures, romance, and creativity. It would not be unlikely for you to be unearthing artistic projects that have been stalled because of quarantine or new crushes that have reemerged since the beginning of April. Just remember even as you’re having fun that the dust may not settle until well until August.
Pisces
May and June will bring about a focus on your living space, especially as it relates to children and others that you love. Did quarantine expose the fact that you need more room for your art? Or cohabitating with another? These reconfigurations may take multiple adjustments over the summer, so keep at your vision as the heat continues to increase.
