Readers of this blog are invited, no, encouraged, to write your own poems inspired by these prompts and submit them via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Paste the poem into the body of the email and please include your name, mailing address, email, a jpg photo and a 30-word bio. The deadline is March 19, 2017. All poems submitted will be posted. The best Reader Poem we receive each month will win a $25 prize.
Art Currim is an LA-based poet, and co-host of “A Rrose in a Prose”, a monthly cross-disciplinary literary reading series in LA’s Echo Park. A recent alumnus of the John Ashbery Home School Poet’s Residency program, Art is published in Tia Chucha Press’ Coiled Serpent Anthology, the Angel City Review, Yay!LA Mag, Dryland Literary Magazine, The Women Group, the San Gabriel Valley Poet’s Quarterly, and others. Art has previously performed as a video game director, media producer, gadget designer, and composer. He now follows his own script, against medical advice.
